Another trick the levitating ring trick requires that you gather together some black thread a finger ring a long pencil (unsharpened is good) and clear adhesive tape. Tape a piece of thread to the metal part of the pencil make it long enough to trail to your shirt button or belt buckle thread it through the buckle or wrap around the button a couple of times. Leave enough thread on this end to reach out from your body slightly yet not so much it doesnt lift the ring up the pencil for you. You need to put the ring on the pencil and get the string right before you show this trick to someone. The thread you have taped under the eraser will be under the ring as it slides down the pencil to your other hand. Now you can repeat this trick to someone without revealing the hidden thread to them. Holding the pencil with the eraser end up slip the finger ring onto it and let it fall to rest on the hand you are holding the pencil with at the place you have the pencil gripped. Take the hand resting near your body (and the secret thread) and reach towards the pencil this will pull the ring up the pencil and make it appear to be levitating. These magic tricks are a mere sampling that can be done by anyone interested in the art.
